Senior Software Engineer II
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.
This role will focus on designing and delivering robust integrations that connect accounting, ERP, and AI systems in a data-driven environment. The engineer will own end-to-end integration pipelines, improve reliability and observability, and help ensure secure, scalable data exchange across the organization. This position will partner closely with cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues, shape technical decisions, and raise the standard for integration best practices.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually
Responsibilities
Design and build integrations for accounting, ERP, and AI systems
Own end-to-end integration pipelines and ensure data reliability
Define and manage data contracts to maintain integration integrity
Contribute to code reviews and resolve critical customer data issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create secure integration experiences
Influence technical decisions and advocate for best practices in integrations
Establish observability to monitor integrations and facilitate troubleshooting
Qualifications
5-7 years of experience in integrations, APIs, and data exchange systems development
Deep technical expertise in data-centric systems and architecture
Strong coding fluency in tools like Dagster, Airbyte, or Airflow alongside Python and Rails
Experience with accounting systems or principles is preferred
High ownership mentality with a self-directed and solution-oriented approach
Proven ability to design scalable architectures balancing performance and cost
Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
