Staff Software Engineer
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.
This role will focus on building modern front-end experiences that support scalable, reliable enterprise software. You will partner closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver user-centric capabilities, strengthen engineering standards, and help shape the technical direction of the front-end stack. The position also includes mentoring peers and improving performance, accessibility, and code quality across the application.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $130,000 – $170,000 annually
Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable front-end solutions using React
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define user-centric features
Build reusable UI components and contribute to a design system
Ensure code quality through best practices
Optimize applications for speed, reliability, and responsiveness
Ship accessible experiences incorporating WCAG practices
Participate in architecture discussions and define standards
Mentor other engineers through technical guidance
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
10+ years of front-end development experience with production web applications
Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
Experience with state management patterns, such as Redux
Familiarity with integrating RESTful APIs
Solid testing and quality assurance practices
Knowledge of CI/CD workflows and source control
