About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Lead Software Engineer - NBA to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.
This role will lead end-to-end technical delivery for a workflow orchestration team focused on reliable member action lifecycles and timely execution. You will partner closely with engineering teammates and cross-functional stakeholders to design scalable services, strengthen system reliability, and help drive high-quality outcomes in a distributed environment. The position combines hands-on coding with architectural ownership, team mentorship, and accountability for operational excellence.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $129,300 – $177,800 annually
Responsibilities
Own end-to-end delivery for the orchestration team, ensuring quality and timely shipping
Design durable workflows in Node.js/TypeScript for member action lifecycles
Manage the action delivery pipeline from decision to acknowledgment
Integrate activation components with Adobe Experience Platform and Kafka
Contribute code alongside team members in multiple technologies
Make architectural decisions for workflow design and reliability
Engineer systems for reliability and observability across distributed environments
Mentor team members and uphold engineering standards
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related area
6+ years of full stack software engineering experience, including at least 1–2 years in a tech-lead or senior-lead role
Proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript for building production services
Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration platforms, preferably Temporal or similar
Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals and event-driven architectures
Experience implementing Kafka producer/consumer patterns in production
Ability to lead a small engineering team and be accountable for technical outcomes
