Join Pax as a Senior Software Engineer to build the operating system for global trade compliance. You will own major product areas end-to-end, developing AI-powered workflows and high-stakes financial data models. Working directly with founders and enterprise customers, you'll tackle a $10B opportunity by transforming complex regulations into simple, reliable software solutions.

What You Will Do

Design and implement durable APIs, data models, and AI-powered workflows that reconcile tens of millions of dollars in annual trade volume.

Build across the full stack using React, Next.js, and FastAPI to create polished customer-facing interfaces and robust backend data pipelines.

Collaborate directly with enterprise customers to translate ambiguous operational challenges and federal trade regulations into precise, actionable technical decisions.

The ideal candidate

Has a strong record of building and shipping meaningful software at high-growth startups or other demanding technical environments.

Possesses full-stack proficiency with modern technologies including React, Next.js, and Python-based frameworks like FastAPI or SQLModel.

Demonstrates a pragmatic approach to building with LLMs, understanding their reliability limitations while leveraging them to transform messy trade data into structured records.
