We're hiring AI Engineers to support an organization investing heavily in Generative AI, agentic development, and enterprise automation. We're looking for experienced software engineers who have moved beyond simply using AI tools and are actively building and shipping AI powered applications, agents, and workflows.
*MUST BE LOCATED IN THE CHICAGO AREA AND WILLING TO WORK IN A HYBRID ENVIRONMENT
What You'll Do
Build and deploy production-grade AI/LLM applications, agents, and automation
Develop agentic workflows, RAG solutions, embeddings, vector search, and tool/function calling
Build integrations connecting AI systems with enterprise applications, APIs, and data
Work with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms
Evaluate AI-generated output for code quality, architecture, performance, and business intent
Build testing, evaluation, monitoring, and observability into production AI systems
Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to take AI solutions from concept through production
What We're Looking For
4+ years of professional software engineering or application development experience
Hands-on experience building with Generative AI / LLMs, ideally including something shipped to production
Strong software engineering fundamentals across APIs, databases, testing, Git, CI/CD, and cloud environments
Experience with technologies such as Python, C#/.NET, React, TypeScript, Java, REST APIs, and SQL - we're open to different engineering backgrounds
Experience with some combination of AI agents, RAG, vector databases, MCP, prompt/context engineering, multi-agent orchestration, or LLM evaluation
Experience with Claude/Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, Azure OpenAI, or similar AI platforms
Experience with Claude Code, spec-driven development, LangGraph, CrewAI, MCP, Azure/AWS/GCP, or enterprise AI environments is a plus.
The strongest candidates are Software Engineers first and AI builders second. If you can walk us through something you've actually built, shipped, or operated using LLMs or AI agents, we'd like to hear from you.
