Senior Systems Software Engineer - Kubernetes and Linux Infrastructure
About the role
Key Responsibilities
Develop systems software across Linux, container runtimes, and Kubernetes platforms for advanced infrastructure and memory technologies.
Design and build Linux kernel integrations, user-space services, node-level agents, and Kubernetes control-plane components.
Develop Kubernetes APIs, CRDs, operators, controllers, and automation tools using Go, client-go, and controller-runtime.
Build resource lifecycle and orchestration solutions covering discovery, allocation, scaling, release, rollback, and state reconciliation.
Integrate host-level capabilities with Kubernetes workflows, including memory management, NUMA, cgroups, device management, and telemetry.
Design reliable distributed systems with strong fault tolerance, concurrency handling, idempotent operations, and recovery mechanisms.
Collaborate with hardware, firmware, kernel, platform, and validation teams to develop scalable infrastructure solutions.
Support system bring-up, troubleshooting, observability, validation, and performance optimization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Strong experience in systems software development using C/C++ and/or Go.
Deep understanding of Linux systems, including kernel interfaces, memory management, NUMA, cgroups, device management, and operating system internals.
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, container runtimes, kubelet integration, Kubernetes APIs, CRDs, operators, and controllers.
Experience developing distributed systems with reconciliation logic, state management, fault tolerance, concurrency, and recovery mechanisms.
Proficiency with Go, client-go, controller-runtime, and related Kubernetes development frameworks.
Experience with observability, including monitoring, logging, diagnostics, and performance analysis.
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across Linux, distributed systems, containers, and Kubernetes environments.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across hardware, firmware, kernel, platform, and validation engineering.
