Ledgent Technology is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI agents and AI-powered applications that solve real business problems. This role will focus on evaluating LLMs, developing agent-based solutions, and partnering with business and technical teams to deliver scalable AI capabilities.

What You'll Do

Design and develop AI agents and AI-powered applications

Build solutions utilizing LLMs, RAG, tool orchestration, reasoning chains, and workflow automation

Evaluate AI models based on accuracy, cost, performance, and scalability

Create frameworks to measure and monitor AI agent effectiveness in production

Partner with data engineering and business teams to deliver practical AI solutions

Help establish AI governance, best practices, and lifecycle management

Communicate technical concepts and tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders

What We're Looking For

Experience building and deploying AI agents or AI-powered applications

Strong Python development experience

Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, agent frameworks, and prompt engineering

Understanding of machine learning, statistics, model evaluation, and data quality

Experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, testing, and production support practices

Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and business teams

Preferred

MLOps or AIOps experience

Experience with Power BI or Tableau

Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot
