As the first Forward Deployed Engineer, you will bridge the gap between product and production. You’ll design agent behaviors, build evaluation harnesses for "Frank" (our AI worker), and deploy systems on-site at US factories. Working with messy real-world data, you will automate the complex manual processes currently holding back world-class manufacturers.

What You Will Do

Design and build agent behaviors and tool-use pipelines using TypeScript and LLM APIs to handle complex, real-world manufacturing inputs like dirty PDFs.

Collaborate with Deployment Strategists to map customer quoting and purchasing workflows into technical configurations, ensuring reliable end-to-end execution.

Build robust evaluation harnesses and guardrails to ensure AI reliability while identifying product gaps directly from the field to influence the core product roadmap.

The ideal candidate

2+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong command of TypeScript (React and NodeJS) and PostgreSQL database management.

Proven experience in customer-facing technical roles such as FDE, Solutions Engineering, or Technical PM, ideally within industrial or ERP environments.

Deep fluency with LLM APIs, prompting strategies, and evaluation frameworks for non-deterministic software, comfortable working onsite in NYC and traveling to customers.
