The Role:

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Broker Platform team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality experiences to our Brokers, working with modern, low-latency technologies and implementing software best practices to incrementally advance our trading and broker operations platform. Collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Engineering, you'll drive seamless integration of data technologies into our products, setting new standards for user experience and application performance

Location: This is a hybrid role where you'll be onsite 2-3 days a week in our SF, CA office.

Responsibilities:

Deliver software on-time with accurate estimates

Take ownership of changes to ensure they run in production with appropriate monitoring

Integrate internal and external APIs, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across distributed system

Provide quality code review feedback to prevent production issues and help other team members grow

Partner with product on understanding requirements, review technical requirements, and take/implement actionable tasks from the team's board/backlog

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design solutions implementing them

Support healthy system operations and ensure high levels of availability are achieved

Qualifications:

5-8 years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent years of working experience in the field

Backend-first Full-Stack engineering experience in C#, Java, or an equivalent compiled object-oriented programming language on the back-end and React / Typescript on the front-end

Experience working in the Financial Services space specifically on a customer facing product

Proven expertise in working with CI/CD pipelines, managing application deployments, and ensuring code quality

Knowledge of real-time data processing and event-drive architectures using technologies like Kafka and DAPR

Experience designing and managing distributed caching strategies using Redis

Proficient in Databases like PostgreSQL or RDS, SQL queries, and experience with cloud platforms like AWS or similar (Azure, GCP, etc)

Familiarity with version control systems like Git and platforms like GitHub and Agile project management tools such as JIRA

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience as a software engineer for a product engineering team

Experience with deploying and scaling containerized microservices using Kubernetes in production environments

Experience using large language models and agentic workflows

Experience with Event Sourcing and frameworks such as Marten

For residents of San Francisco, CA / Bay Area the annual base salary range for this role is $168,000-$200,000 + annual bonus. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, bonus, and other factors
