Job Title: Senior Software Engineer Backend - Node Connectivity
Location : Remote all over U.S
Full time Permanent Job- w2 candidates only
Primary focus will be on Go Lang, Kubernetes and AWS, C, C++
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years of experience writing production code in C/C++
- Comfort working in a Linux and/or embedded systems environment
- Networking foundational knowledge (LANs, routing, switching, wireless)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

You will be responsible for crafting and implementing features that improve the reliability, simplicity, security, and performance of our products. - Lead in the design and development of Meraki’s node connectivity solution
- Work with all teams across Engineering to improve core functionality and optimize development cycles.
- Mentor junior developers in the art of software engineering
- Drive debugging of issues when things don't go as planned
- Be responsible for evaluating the performance of existing components and subsystems
Nice to have skills:
- Experience working with gRPC
- Expertise in networking, including TCP/IP(v4, v6) networks, 802.1x, DNS, DHCP, ARP
- Experience with embedded systems development such as Yocto and buildroot
- Experience with network security
- Passion to improve code, implement reusable design patterns, and use industry best coding practices
Responsibilities
