Job Summary
We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong experience in agentic AI, .NET, and C# to design, build, and enhance intelligent software solutions in a healthcare environment. This role will focus on developing scalable applications and AI-driven workflows that support business and clinical operations while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy standards. The ideal candidate has experience building secure, enterprise-grade systems, integrating AI capabilities into applications, and working with protected health information in regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using .NET/C#
Build and integrate agentic AI solutions, including autonomous or semi-autonomous workflows, orchestration, decisioning, and task execution
Develop APIs, microservices, and backend services to support healthcare platforms and data exchange
Collaborate with product, architecture, security, and compliance teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions
Ensure systems meet HIPAA requirements and healthcare data handling best practices
Integrate with healthcare-related platforms and standards such as EHR/EMR systems, HL7, FHIR, or healthcare APIs
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and deployment activities
Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance, reliability, and scalability
Support cloud-based development and deployment in environments such as Azure or AWS
Contribute to AI governance, model monitoring, prompt/orchestration design, and responsible AI practices
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
Experience developing software applications with .NET and C#
Experience designing or implementing AI-enabled applications, including workflow automation, intelligent assistants, or agent-based solutions
Hands-on experience building REST APIs, backend services, and distributed systems
Experience in the healthcare industry with knowledge of HIPAA compliance and secure handling of PHI/PII
Understanding of application security, authentication/authorization, encryption, and audit logging
Experience with SQL databases and data integration
Familiarity with software development lifecycle, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, AI orchestration frameworks, or agent frameworks
Experience with Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Azure, or cloud-native application development
Knowledge of FHIR, HL7, EHR/EMR integrations, or other healthcare interoperability standards
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with event-driven architecture and message-based systems
Experience in regulated environments with strong documentation and validation requirements
