Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Orlando, FL that is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer. Key Responsibilities:

Develop rapid prototypes and conduct feasibility studies to validate technical approaches

Design, implement, and test software applications and supporting components

Build graphical user interfaces using Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and the Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) design pattern

Develop software and reusable libraries focused on communication with FANUC robots

Create libraries that integrate external devices and sensors, including infrared and color cameras, laser profilometers, ultrasonic probes, PLCs, motor-control systems, and digital I/O devices

Use or develop tools for offline robotic-arm path planning and collision avoidance

Apply stereo-vision image processing and laser profilometry to locate objects in three-dimensional space

Develop calibration processes for tools, sensors, and objects within a robotic cell

Evaluate the feasibility and accuracy of sensors, algorithms, and predictive models for specific automation tasks

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field

Five or more years of relevant software engineering experience

Strong proficiency in C#

Professional experience with object-oriented programming, .NET standards, and dependency injection

Experience developing with WPF and MVVM

Experience using development tools such as Visual Studio and Git

Working knowledge of linear algebra and trigonometry

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
