About the role

🚨 Senior Data Science & Analytics Consultant | CPG / Demand Forecasting | NY/NJ 🚨

I’m currently partnering with a leading consultancy that is looking for an experienced Senior Data Science & Analytics Consultant to support a high-impact project within the consumer goods space.

📍 Location: New York / New Jersey

🏢 Working model: Hybrid

📅 Contract: 4–6 months initially

🔄 Extension: Strong potential for extension

💰 Rate: $70/hour

This is not a traditional hands-on Data Scientist position. The client is looking for someone with a strong previous Data Science and modelling background who has progressed into a more business-facing and strategic analytics role.

You’ll act as the bridge between Data Science teams and senior business leadership — understanding complex forecasting and model outputs and translating them into clear insights, recommendations and executive-level materials.

What we're looking for:

Strong demand forecasting, demand planning or supply-chain forecasting experience

Previous hands-on experience developing, testing and improving Data Science / ML models

Ability to interpret complex model outputs and explain key forecast drivers

Strong business storytelling and executive communication

Experience presenting analytical findings to senior leadership

Ability to create clear PowerPoint presentations, visualisations and executive readouts

Experience translating technical findings into actionable business recommendations

CPG / consumer goods experience strongly preferred

Model explainability experience, including SHAP / feature importance, is beneficial

Segmentation and advanced analytics experience is beneficial

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong technical Data Science foundation who has moved towards a more strategic, business-facing analytics role.
