Artificial Intelligence Engineer
About the role
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, and maintain ASP.NET MVC web applications and modules, emphasizing AI-driven functionality and integrations.
Design, develop, and maintain standalone worker processes, build on Microsoft stack and leveraging traditional and AI means to perform autonomous tasks.
Define and standardize agentic development practices, including Skills, MCP servers, frameworks and agent configuration files (e.g., AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md), to ensure consistency and scalability.
Maintaining and expanding the firm’s on-premises AI GPU infrastructure to support local model inference through Ollama
Assist in evaluating new technology, especially in the AI-assisted space.
GENERAL:
Providing ideas for improvement to existing company coding standards.
Participating in code review meetings and other opportunities for knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with users and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and share lessons learned.
Working with outside vendors as appropriate, including software vendors, consultants, integrators, etc.
Providing regular status updates to the supervisor and project team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of relevant experience with C#.NET, ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, jQuery, or another modern JavaScript framework, XML, T-SQL, SSRS.
Experience with local model inference platforms (Ollama, vLLM, LM Studio, etc.), including parameter tuning, context window optimization, quantization selection, performance benchmarking, and troubleshooting inference workloads.
Experience using OpenAI APIs.
Experience designing and implementing evaluation pipelines for production AI applications.
Experience with Codex/Claude Code/Open Code.
Experience developing and deploying custom MCP servers with Microsoft Entra ID integration, including authentication flows, authorization policies, token validation, and secure service-to-service communication
Experience using Skills.
Experience building Agents.
Experience with Azure.
Degree in Computer Science or related course of study from a major college program; OR degree in another field, supplemented with additional job experience and/or non-degree courses in computer systems studies.
