Embedded Software Engineer – Software Architecture & Documentation

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with strong C programming, embedded systems, and software architecture experience to support documentation and system design activities for automotive software projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze existing C source code and technical documentation to understand system behavior and architecture.
Extract and document software requirements and architectural information from legacy systems.
Develop and maintain Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), Software Architecture Documents, Software Design Specifications, and Interface Specifications.
Reverse-engineer existing software and ensure requirements, architecture, and source code are consistent and traceable.
Collaborate with software engineers and technical leads to validate requirements and architecture.
Improve technical documentation, standards, and knowledge management processes.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of software development experience using C
Hands-on experience developing embedded software systems
Experience with embedded software architecture and design
Strong technical writing and documentation skills
Experience analyzing existing source code and reverse-engineering system behavior
Understanding of software development lifecycle processes
Experience creating software architecture and technical design documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
Automotive software development experience
Knowledge of AUTOSAR
Experience with requirements engineering and traceability
Familiarity with Automotive SPICE (ASPICE), ISO 26262, or ISO/SAE 21434
Experience developing system requirements and software architecture specifications
