Senior Software Engineer, Android, ChromeOS

About the role

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development and consumer facing products.
• 2 years of experience with mobile app development and Android application

architecture.

• Experience with software coding in Java or Kotlin.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree or PhD in a related technical field.
• Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi Direct, mDNS, or related

device discovery frameworks.

• Experience with peer-to-peer device connectivity, network protocols, or

connected devices.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills,

experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $174000 - $252000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build magical, multi-device experiences that make Android the ecosystem of

choice for premium users.

• Design and develop the core synchronization frameworks that allow phones,

tablets, and laptops to connect seamlessly.

• Focus on areas like device connectivity, sharing, and task continuity, your

work will empower users to easily cast apps, hand off tasks, and share files

across their devices.

• Manage complex technical challenges involving peer-to-peer connectivity,

cross-device APIs, and deep Android platform integrations.
