SOFTWARE ENGINEER

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

The Software Engineer shall be responsible for collaborating with Product Owners, System Engineers, and Project Software Engineers to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and sustain a mission-focused enterprise web application deployed in a containerized Kubernetes Linux environment.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Software Engineer must have:

Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science

Experience: 2+ years of related experience

Security clearance required: TS/SCI w/ polygraph

Position Required skills:

Experience using the Linux CLI

Experience developing Bash/Python scripts

Experience developing with Python in a Linux environment

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker

Experience with SQL technologies such as MySQL

Experience with designing and implementing REST interfaces

Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI

Experience with Git Source Control System

Position Desired Skills:

 Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools including Jira and Confluence

 Experience with the Django Web framework

 Experience with the Celery Task Scheduler

 Familiar with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes

 Familiar with creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes

The likely salary range for this position is $132,600 - $179,400. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
