About the role

ESChat is the market leader in secure wireless push-to-talk communications. We are seeking a Linux C++ Software Engineer to develop software for our Push To Talk over Broadband product line. Ideal candidates are people with a passion for software development, have interest in and enjoy learning new programming languages and techniques, and can quickly get comfortable with new software frameworks, concepts and platforms.

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

● Good analytical and problem solving skills

● Strong knowledge of C++

● Experienced with Linux System Programming

● Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming

● Strong knowledge of version control systems, preferably git

● Good knowledge of Networking technologies and protocols

● B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree

● 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering

Build tools: gcc, make

Linux: command line utilities / Bash

VoIP Communications

Continuous Integration, preferably Gitlab

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Base Salary of $130k-$160k, depending on experience

3 weeks of PTO per and 11 holidays per year

ESChat is a full featured PTT over cellular application and includes 1:1, 1:N and Group PTT calling, text and image messaging, real-time location reporting and breadcrumb location tracking. On the device side it supports Android and iOS smartphones and PC Desktops. On the server side we offer an ESChat managed cloud service via either AWS or AWS Gov Cloud.
