Senior Product Data Scientist
About the role
Summary
We're looking for a Product Data Scientist who is deeply focused on understanding user behavior and driving product decision-making through experimentation. This person will work closely with product managers, engineers, and design to identify opportunities, run structured A/B tests, and uncover insights that directly influence the product roadmap. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning experiments end-to-end — from hypothesis to rollout — and translating complex data into clear direction for the product team.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze user behavior patterns, product usage flows, drop-offs, and engagement trends
Design, execute, and evaluate A/B tests and other experimentation frameworks to validate product decisions
Partner with product teams to define key metrics, success criteria, and hypotheses for upcoming features
Build dashboards and self-serve tools that help the product team understand the health of the product
Work with data engineers to ensure clean, reliable, and accessible data for analysis
Translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
Core Requirements
Strong experience with A/B testing, experiment design, hypothesis testing, and interpreting experiment results
Solid skills in SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis
Experience working with data warehousing and workflow tools (Snowflake, Airflow, Superset, Eppo, etc.)
Background in product analytics or product-facing data science roles
Ability to communicate insights clearly and influence product strategy using data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment

They are looking for a solid Product Data Scientist. A similar background to Matheus Rabetti. Really important that this person has an ownership mindset and a want/willingness to go beyond assigned tasks to look outside of it for areas of improvement. Strong communication skills is also important. This team is based around Germany's time zone so the person will need to overlap at least 6 hours with that. Interview process: SQL/Python Technical Interview, Hiring Manager Interview, Product Case Study Interview Previous JD: - Strong foundation in Data Science with extensive experience in research and experimentation to assess impact, drive product improvements, and support data-driven decision-making. - Expertise in statistics, A/B testing, and experiment design, with a track record of translating insights into actionable product recommendations. - Product-focused data science background—comfortable with strategic recommendations, collaborating closely with Product Managers, and effectively communicating insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Strong in Python and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and report building. Nice to have: - Familiarity with tools like Snowflake, Superset, Eppo, and Airflow to enhance data infrastructure and support seamless experimentation workflows. Other Traits: - Highly motivated and effective at communicating insights with diverse cross-functional teams. - Skilled at understanding and translating complex data into user-centric, growth-focused recommendations. - Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, ideally with experience in consumer tech or other high-growth product-driven settings. - English fluency and great communication skills. - Previous experience working in a remote environment.
