As a Founding AI Engineer, you will work across research and engineering to design, train, and optimize machine learning systems that push the limits of performance-critical environments.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in ambiguity and wants to build core technology rather than just use it. You will join an early, elite team where your ideas will directly shape the product and architecture.
What you will do
Design, train, and optimize machine learning systems for performance-critical environments.
Implement research papers from scratch, making them faster, cleaner, and more accurate.
Build and scale robust data and training pipelines.
Design experiments, interpret noisy graphs, and make decisions under uncertainty.
Write clean, type-safe code with a focus on pure functional programming using algebraic data types.
Drop down to C++/CUDA when performance demands it.
Understand distributed systems and scale training and inference pipelines in the real world.
What we are looking for
Deep experience with ML frameworks, experiment tracking, and distributed training.
Strong foundation in math and CS fundamentals: linear algebra, probability, optimization, algorithms, data structures, and time complexity.
Proficiency in Python, with bonus points for C++, Rust, CUDA, or other performance-oriented tools.
Comfortable with Linux, containers, and working close to the metal when needed.
Experience building and scaling robust data and training pipelines.
Deep experience with Machine Learning, Python, Data Pipelines, Distributed Systems, C++, CUDA, Algorithm Design, Functional Programming, Information Retrieval, NLP, and Model Optimization.
Bachelor’s degree.
Mid-level experience (3-4 years).
