About the role

Full Stack Production Software Engineer

We are seeking a Full Stack Production Software Engineer to own the reliability and health of our production applications. This role will serve as a primary engineering responder for production incidents, troubleshooting issues across React frontends, Laravel APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and third-party integrations.

The ideal candidate is a strong full stack engineer with excellent debugging and problem-solving skills who can quickly diagnose issues, restore service, identify root causes, and drive permanent solutions. You will also help improve observability, automation, operational processes, and overall application reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a primary engineering responder for production incidents and technical escalations.

Troubleshoot issues across React, Laravel/PHP, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and external integrations.

Perform root cause analysis and implement or coordinate permanent fixes.

Improve application performance, stability, scalability, and resilience.

Build and maintain monitoring, logging, dashboards, alerts, and tracing.

Develop automation and internal tools to improve operational efficiency.

Create and maintain runbooks, troubleshooting documentation, and postmortem action items.

Partner with Product Engineering, Infrastructure, QA, and Support teams to resolve customer-impacting issues.

Contribute code changes to Laravel and React applications as needed.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of professional software engineering experience.

Strong PHP/Laravel development experience.

Strong JavaScript and React experience.

Experience troubleshooting and supporting production applications in a cloud environment.

Solid understanding of REST APIs, relational databases, and distributed systems.

Experience with Git, Linux, and modern development workflows.

Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to remain calm under pressure and take ownership of issues through resolution.

Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with engineering on-call rotations and incident response.

AWS or other cloud platform experience.

Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, queues, or event-driven architectures.

Microservices and/or Go (Golang) experience.

Observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, New Relic, or Sentry.

CI/CD and deployment automation experience.

Experience conducting postmortems and driving reliability improvements.
