Embedded C Software Engineer - Junior to Mid level - Direct hire - Hybrid in Raleigh, NC
Our client is looking for an Embedded C Software Engineer to join their engineering team and develop reliable, high-performance embedded software. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working close to the hardware and solving challenging software problems.
What You'll Do
Develop and maintain embedded software using C/C++
Work closely with electrical, firmware, and systems engineers
Develop software for microcontrollers and embedded platforms
Debug and troubleshoot software at the hardware level
Participate in architecture, design, testing, and code reviews
Work with communication protocols, peripherals, and device drivers
Support the full software development lifecycle
What We're Looking For
Strong experience developing embedded software in C
Experience with microcontrollers, RTOS, or bare-metal development
Solid understanding of embedded systems and hardware/software interfaces
Experience debugging embedded systems using tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, or logic analyzers
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
