When there is mutual interest, recruiters connect with candidates directly through the platform. PPLIED offers this service free of charge, aiming to simplify and improve hiring for all parties.

Role Description:

The AI Engineer role at PPLIED is a full-time remote position focused on building, improving, and maintaining the platform’s core matching and recommendation systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing machine learning models, with a particular emphasis on pattern recognition, neural networks, and NLP-based solutions to match candidates with roles accurately. The AI Engineer collaborates with product and software development teams to integrate AI models into production systems, optimize performance, and monitor effectiveness using robust metrics. The role also involves exploring new algorithms, conducting experiments, cleaning and preparing data, and ensuring that AI features are scalable, reliable, and aligned with user needs. Documentation, code reviews, and continuous improvement of deployment pipelines are integral parts of the position.

Qualifications:

Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and writing production-quality code.

Experience with Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks, especially for recommendation, ranking, or matching systems.

Practical knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques for resume parsing, job description understanding, and semantic matching.

Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in AI/ML (e.g., Python, Java, or similar) and familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).

Experience building and deploying machine learning models in a cloud environment (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) with attention to scalability and observability.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.

Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience in HR tech, recruiting platforms, or recommender systems is a plus.
